The summer is upon us and with that we hold our Summer Cup tournament. This is the opportunity for all club members to get some rated games against other club members.
The format is interesting. Each player plays nine games but only the top 7 results are used to build your total score. So you have two grace games to exclude from the final results. Time control for this tournament is 60 minutes for all moves plus 10 seconds increment per move. This tournament will conclude towards the end of the summer and as late as Autumn. This should allow all players the chance to fit their games in over the season.
A few games have already been played and some points scored! So get down to the club to sign up and get started. No entry fee required! Just confirm the game you are playing against your opponent is counting towards the Summer Cup and you are set. Signed notation sheet to be handed in to Malcolm Crane, tournament organiser.
