♟️ The Ultimate Challenge: Club Simul

  • When: Next Tuesday, 14th July
  • Where: Stanford Le Hope

Are you ready to take on the best? Next Tuesday, our strongest club player is stepping up to the ultimate challenge: playing a simultaneous exhibition against the rest of the club all at once! This is your chance to test your mettle, find a brilliant tactic, and see if you can take down our top seed. Come along, grab a board, and let’s see who can pull off an upset!

⏱️ The Need for Speed: Quickplay Tournament

  • When: Wednesday, 22nd July at 7:45 PM
  • Where: Grays Venue

If you love fast-paced, heart-pounding chess, this one is for you. We are hosting a Quickplay Competition at our Grays venue. The clocks will be ticking, the pressure will be on, and every second counts. It’s going to be a brilliant night of rapid-fire chess and plenty of fun.

Looking ahead, the new season is just around the corner, and Thurrock Chess Club needs you!

We are actively looking for players of all levels to join our ranks. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or looking to play your first rated game, we have a spot for you. Next season, we will be fielding teams in both the Essex League and the Southend League, alongside running our own internal club competitions.

Playing league chess is a fantastic way to improve your game, experience the thrill of team competition, and be part of a great community.
